Having worked in the Montvale NJ area for almost 40 years I have stayed at this Courtyard many times. However, this last trip, will probably be my last trip, as they now charge $10 to park. It's not the money, it's the principle. How can the hotel justify charging a customer $10.00 to park when the parking lot is shared with a public restaurant? I am sure that customers going for a bite to eat at the Fire Oak restaurant next door are not being charged $10.00. I understand that business in the area is not the same as many corporations in the area are still closed or working short staffed as employees work from home. The front desk staff was friendly enough and the rate was low of $128 for the Sunday night stay. The rooms however leave a lot to be desired. They are large but the furniture is all too big for it! An enormous sofa so large it. has to be catty corner as it doesn’t fit any other way, but then blocks a lot of the room. A huge desk and equally big armoire. You can barely walk around the room. Makes it unpleasant. The breakfast was over priced for what is served and everything tasted plastic and seemed like cooked in a convection oven. Better to go someplace local.
Overall, we had a typically enjoyable experience at the Marriott. However, we encountered some issues with the TV remote, which had to be replaced three times but still didn't function properly. Additionally, the coffee station could have used better stocking. On a positive note, the bathroom and bed were fantastic, and we loved the comfortable sofa in the room.
Was charged $100 fee AFTER i left. Incidentals for what? I do not smoke in the room and did not leave a mess? i even left a tip for the cleaning staff.UPDATED EDIT: Your response is inaccurate. The location is fantastic, and the staff is exceptional. A special shoutout to Michael at the front desk for his outstanding customer service—he truly went above and beyond. Matt, the hotel porter, is such a nice guy. Fabian from Fire and Oak also provided excellent service. Thank you all!
I had a good stay here. Check-in was fast and friendly. Rooms were clean and comfortable, I slept great. Subtracting one point because charging for parking at a suburban hotel is kind of scummy, especially since it was difficult to even find a space. Still, I would stay here again.
the door has a gap even when fully closed. pool area was never cleaned or winterized and looks like a disaster area. eric at the front desk did not care at all and consistently avoided giving a fair resolution for a freezing room.
From the trash bag hanging in the window when we arrived to the dirty PTAC unit, the cleanliness and service were disappointing. This alone would not meet the standards for a quality assurance rating. Rooms: 1/5.

Well maintained hotel and clean.!The manager was welcoming with high greeting and has all answers around the area which is very helpful for me and everyone.Happily I do recommend this hotel.!
Staff is amazing. Concierge was top notch!! Beautiful setting and furnishings in lobby to welcome you. Room was wonderful.
