This location is hit or miss. I used to work here over 10 years ago and back then staff was held to a much higher standard. For instance we were trained to greet our tables within the fist minute they arrived. My fiance and I juat sat for over 10 minutes without anyone coming to us and tables were sat and served around us, the restaurantwas not busy by any standards. We eventually got frustrated got up and left. When I worked there you had to wear black or khaki pants and now all i see is servers wearing jeans and sneakers. Went to the Harford County location on Sat. 7/1 about 7pm and it was kinda empty. The staff was NOT customer focused, doing busy work chatting, ignoring customer situations in front of them. Like when I walked up, making me wait for the to-go person. Huh? Why not take my order and walk it to the back? Luckily, the experienced manager saved me, thanks. The beautiful piece of steak was underseasoned waste of money! However, the pancakes I 'd ordered were excellent in the morning. Looking thru the store and the big fireplace are still my reasons to go there. Used to be the food too. Damn!
Consistent and predictable. Just what you want for breakfast, when traveling or just have some time to kill. Coffee refilled continuously (and with a smile) Grits are good any time of day. They are introducing new pancake and other options. Nice thing about sitting down and doing these reviews is realizing that Cracker Barrel is better than I give them credit for. It doesn't just need to be for when you are on the road, or need a decision the whole family can get behind. Gotta give them credit for quality, value, and fun.
Very disappointed, it was a wait to have our order taken, then when the food was brought out it looked like the food was just thrown on the plate, usually I would get the mac and cheese in a bowl, but not this time, and the food was luke warm. Also saw a table be cleaned with a dirty towel. I usually enjoy eating at Cracker Barrel, but not this time. Hopefully corporate with take a look and see what's going on. I will give it sometime and try again.

Great service by Jessica on this great visit. I've visited this location at least 21 times in the past. It was my closest CB, although almost an hour away. Above average service and quality food most times. My son and I visited this rainy morning, and our yum food brought the sunshine !! I ordered the Catfish Meal, and he did the Southern Fried Chicken Meal!! All was well. We'll definitely return when able.
Ordered the grandpa breakfast, the only thing that was really hot like it was just made was the fries chicken , the server was polite and nice.. a disappointed if Iam in that area again I will give it another try, see what happens. Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Easy and quick service for a large group that I was in. Chicken was fried to perfection and the the French toast was just right. Not soggy at all. Fairly quiet and enjoyable with the amount of people that was in here.
