"That's England for you: delightful pies and magic! The atmosphere is lovely, and the service is pleasant. A touch of flavorful oil adds a nice dimension to the dishes. However, if you’re unfamiliar with cakes, magic, and ale, it might be a bit confusing and overwhelming for you."

Delicious. Accepts card. Affordable. Extremely kind staff. As a foreigner, I wanted to try a traditional pie mash and they took the time to both explain what was in the liquor and show me what the stewed-jellied eels looked like. Enjoyed every aspect of my lunch.

The menu is quite standard and doesn't seem as appealing as the other two places. I'm a big fan of milkshakes, though! It's located on a busy road, but that's not a major issue. The interior has been updated since the previous review on February 2, 2022.

perfectly authentic london cake maic experiencing no frills, it feels like it had been in the 40s (what is a great thing) good service of old school londoners, eating as they want it hot and fresh served

Traditional Cockney Eating. You either like it or loathe it. I love it never changes the taste reminds me of childhood.
