We were really excited to eat here because the reviews looked very positive. When we first entered, the gentleman who welcomed us in was so nice and we felt like we made a great decision. The bad part came with our waiter and his sarcasm. We were going to order two crepes and share them so that we could try two at the same time (as we couldn’t possibly eat four in total). Well, he immediately stopped us mid-sentence and said “you’re not allowed to share, this is a restaurant”. That’s one of the most rude and sarcastic responses I’ve ever received at a restaurant in my life, that’s not a way to talk to customers. We felt a hostile atmosphere and uncomfortable the rest of the meal, basically we felt like we weren’t welcomed and judged. To make matters worse, two men sat across from us and literally shared their crepes right in front of the waiters face without him saying a word. Now tell me, why were two men allowed to share their crepes but not two women? …
Located at the Plaza corner to Rue de la Liberté is the place for Galettes and Crepes. Bustling with customers at lunchtime and still offered fast and very good service. They offer traditional Galettes and some with local ingredients. Both; Crepes and Galettes were delicious and the prices very reasonable. We recommend it and will stop by again when in the area.
Last year we stopped in Bayonne on the way back from Girona and had a fantastic lunch here. So on the way to Portugal this year we had to stop again! Great galettes and crepes and very friendly service. Montagnarde followed by chocolate, banana and chantilly. Perfect!
