Creperie Le Grenier A Crepes

If you 're feeling overloaded by one too many big meals on Caen 's Rue du Vaugueux, this is the place for you. We arrived when the restaurant opened on a weekday evening in May, so seating was not a problem. When I told the owner that I didn 't speak much French (in my extremely limited French vocabulary), he responded, That 's OK, I don 't speak much English. At that point I knew we were going to get along famously. Since we were feeling the need for some greens, we went for the salad galettes. These are served with the greens sprinkled over the top of the galettes with the other ingredients, e.g. Andouille sausage, baked into the cake. Nice presentation and delicious! Wish I could say that we saved room for dessert crepes, but as senior citizens our appetites aren 't what they used to be. The owner was attentive but not intrusive with his service, a perfect combination. For a relaxed, informal meal, we wouldn 't hesitate to return.

This is a quiet place with a great crepes menu. It is run by the owners (kitchen and service). Great taste, nice presentation and quick service. Easy to find a place to park and close to the train station.

This place is amazing, great food, service and conversation. One of the owners is from Montana, she moved there 3 yrs ago. The food was do good, we had to go back a second time while in Caen.

the place looks better in the pictures it is actually very basic and far from the city center. the crepes and gallets are average and like any other you can find in creperies in france.

The food is tasty and the dishes are big. Service is very good and Silvie is very helpful and patient. English speaking, which make it very easy to communicate. Yair
