I cannot even begin to describe how delicious the cakes in this place are. Make sure you have a look in the case when you arrive to see what you want to order, then go and find an empty table. The upstairs is quite large so you should be able to find a place. There coffee is also incredible, and they have what looks like a good selection of tea as well. This is one of my favorite places, you will not regret coming!

The place looks amazing and the quality of the products is even more. I recommend going for tea time (watch out closes at 18:30) and having either a coffee or hot chocolate (they have many varieties of it, which is cool). You can select a cake or pastry you liked at the apparel and they will take it to your table. It also sells packed delicacies to takeaway as a present or souvenir.

Most clients are a ‚bit‘ older but gosh do they serve nice pie, chocolate. We were surprised by the big terrace at first floor outside where you have even on sunny warm days everywhere shadow. And before you leave take the opportunity of buying some nice (chocolate) souvenirs for those who couldn‘t enjoy the pastry together with you. They are not cheap but like said, a must visit!

There are several bakeries in town, but this one is way above all the rest. Their pastries are excellent. I went here several times while visiting the city and had tea and a cookie or pastry. I loved sitting upstairs near one of the windows with a view of the comings and goings down in the city. They also sell chocolate, but I didn't try any of it.

Still the best place in Göttingen to meet up with old friends. Coffee and cakes are excellent. This place never disappoints. First went here 46 years ago and still managing to get back.
