My husband and I decided to stop for lunch and grab a beer. We opted to sit at the bar, but unfortunately, the bartender was neither friendly nor attentive. I ordered a "Lucy" burger without the bun, and when I cut into it, I found it to be very undercooked in the middle. I let the bartender know that I couldn't eat it like that, and he threw it away and brought me another one, which wasn't much better. I managed to eat a bit of the top part of the burger, but left most of it untouched. This was, without a doubt, the worst meal I've ever had at a restaurant, and the service was lacking as well. To start, we ordered two appetizers: walleye strips and Cajun onion rings. The walleye was moist and lightly breaded, while the onion rings provided a nice twist on a dish we've had countless times before. For our main course, we shared the featured patty melt, also known as the Smokehouse Stacker. We really enjoyed it, and one portion was more than enough for two reasonably hungry adults. One downside was the limited beer options; we would have appreciated a more diverse selection, especially some cerveza options. As for parking, you can easily drop your party off at the door, which is convenient and protects you from the elements.
We held our wedding sample dinner at the Maplewood Event Center, and it was wonderful! Sarah was extremely easy to communicate with, and the taco bar was delicious. They were also very accommodating, allowing us to arrive early for setup. Everyone had a fantastic time and appreciated the option to stay later and enjoy the bar area. Our venue was located in downtown St. Paul, which made it convenient for our guests—only about 10 minutes away. I highly recommend this place!
We visited this restaurant on Saturday the 27th to celebrate our wedding with our family, and we had a wonderful time. Although I didn’t catch our server’s name, he truly went above and beyond to ensure that my husband, our family, and I were well taken care of. All of our meals were delicious, although I’d advise against ordering shrimp tacos if you’re wearing a white dress! A big thank you to the Crooked Pint team for making our dinner so memorable! The food is delicious, offering a great variety of classic pub dishes, and the drinks are quite good as well. Overall, the service is excellent, although there are moments when it can be somewhat slow, probably due to being short-staffed, which I totally understand. I don't have any major complaints. I did have a problem with their rewards system, but they resolved it quickly and effectively. I truly enjoy the neighborhood ambiance of this place.
The burgers at this restaurant are outstanding, and the comfort food is genuinely fulfilling. The burgers boast a wonderful mix of flavors and are impressively juicy and tasty. I highly recommend trying the homemade note to take home with you. The pancakes are also exceptional, making it a difficult choice when it comes to ordering!
The restaurant has a large space, so it never feels crowded. My wife ordered the steakhouse Lucy and was absolutely thrilled—she couldn't stop talking about how delicious it was. I tried the Asian pork tacos, and they were fantastic! The staff was extremely friendly and attentive.
