This is a restaurant I've been to dozens of times, and another that is pure comfort food. Even though they make a number of Jewish-style foods such as Matzo ball soup, bagels and lox, chopped liver sandwiches, and corned beef sandwiches, this is NOT a typical Jewish Deli. In fact, this Sunday, they are having an Easter Brunch with carved ham. Items like ham, bacon, and pork ribs are menu staples. This is the mixed marriage of deli's, but they have their heart in the right place. In a town with only one authentic Jewish deli that I can think of (Cecil's), this somehow comes in #2 with apologies to Jewish friends, family, rabbis, and anyone even remotely Kosher. (It's like when Red Lobster was...

I was here with a group of 20 some folks for lunch. They set up a nice area for us in a kinda private area of the dining room. They were also kind enough to process 20 some individual checks! The waiter assigned to us was friendly and patient despite helping such a large group on his own. The menu has a nice variety of options that you don't typically see in mainstream restaurants. I ordered the beet salad it was basic but had plenty of beets! Wish there would have been a slice of bread on the side, though. The other folks at my table had the shakshuka (that was served in a small cast iron pan), a ginormous Reuben sandwich (it could have fed three people), and a fish sandwich (with a filet t...

One word: delicious! We went on a Sunday at 11ish for an early lunch and they weren't very busy (it was freezing though, so nothing was busy! . My companion ordered the corned beef hash and said it was the best he had ever had, it was served with two poached eggs over the top and was not crazy salty (like the canned variety . I had the matzo ball soup- the ball was ok, but the broth, chicken, carrots, onions, and celery were soooo yummy!! I also had the bottomless pickled beets and they were superb as was the caraway rye bread. It was warm and inviting inside with a cozy fireplace. I'd definitely recommend stopping here!

We haven't eaten here in years and decided to give it another try. The ambience is a typical suburban vibe....but the food! Oh wow! The short ribs are tender, served in a large bowl with the most delicious broth (like a sweeter version of a French onion soup) and creamy mashed potatoes. You can get a half or full sized portion. The combo sandwich was delish...tastes freshly sourced from the deli part of the restaurant. Service is polite and timely. Parking is easy and plentiful. If you like this genre of food, this one is a winner. The short ribs Réservez une table maintenant

I've eaten here since it opened an the Food never disappoints, Kevin is definitely taking care of business, the Breads and Pastry, my favorite is the Carrot Cake, I've always felt it's underpriced for the consistency and service! The Pastramis and Corned Beef! Absolutely a great, sorta Jewish Deli with a great Twist! One of a kind, Cecil's in Highland Park is their only real Competition! Both Different both Delicious!! Try both! Tell them Frank sent you! It's a definite 4.5.... 4.7... there are No Real 5's ! That's Perfect in my Mind!

What I loved most about this place was the deli. Since it was just before Passover, I was able to pick up some delicious kosher for Passover treats. I highly recommend their Passover brownies; they’re like fudge! We also tried a bagel and a black and white cookie from the counter. The bagel was classic NY style with a crispy crust and a chewy center. The cookie was my absolute favorite— reminiscent of the ones I enjoyed as a child! I’ll definitely be coming back!

For a sandwich to earn a perfect 10 from me, it needs to be served on a hoagie or sub roll, with yellow wax peppers on the side. I also appreciate having mustard, shredded lettuce, and dill pickles for extra flavor. The pastrami itself was juicy, with just the right amount of fat. Next time, I think I’ll just buy the pastrami from their deli and make the sandwich at home myself.

Kevin's combo pastrami and corn beef sandwich is one of the best sandwiches you'll ever eat. I've had it a couple times and it is something that will give you cravings. If you've ever eaten at any of the great delicatessens like Wolf's in New York City, this sandwich rivals some of the best. Réservez une table maintenant

Great restaurant with a great atmosphere. I love the nostalgic feel that came with amazing food. We tried the Kevin's Kombo and Matzah Ball Soup and were impressed with both. Staff was incredibly nice as well.
