The key to getting it to work properly is to type, as Tarzan said, “make Cuban food.” And voila, the name Cuban Island Restaurant popped out at me. Glancing at the GPS, I knew this was automatically a win as I didn't have to go to the mainland. Heard a lot over the years about this place. Finally stopped by to taste what everyone was talking about.I went in with high hopes and left dissatisfied.The appetizers both seemed to be over cooked on the outside and cool to almost cold on the inside. Highly disappointed with those.The steak was overcooked and had no flavor. The onions didn't even seem to help!Wife had the mojo pork and it tasted old and that it had been sitting around all day in its own fatty oils. All we tasted was pure fatty grease taste. Overall the experience left me disappointed and I won't be back unfortunately.

I've lived in Florida my whole life and have eaten at many Cuban restaurants. Hands down this is the best Cuban food I have ever had. I mean everything I tried was great. Their house sauce is amazing and the passion fruit mojito is a 10 out of 10..I recommend! Our waitress Celeste is the best! She also made our drinks. This place gets 5+ stars all around!

We have thoroughly enjoyed every visit to Cuban Island. The food is delicious, the service is fantastic as well.I'd love to try everything on the menu, but just can't get past the Vaca Frita. It is so darn good!We cannot recommend Cuban Island enough. Parking: It's a small restaurant, with limited parking spots. Réservez une table maintenant

I told the waitress I was allergic to pork and the beans was full of ham. Then they took back the food and didn't bring me new utensils so I had to eat with a soup spoon. Music and pretty waitresses was the only thing good in this location.

There’s no food left to take a photo of because we ate it all. Everything was well crafted with great attention to detail. We tried some of everything. The mojo sauce is particularly good.

The food was very good. Really enjoyed the Ropa Viejas. Once sat the service was good but we were forgotten about waiting on the patio for a table. Réservez une table maintenant
