Went here for a date night after reading all the positive reviews.... We started with calamari which was actually delicious ....we 've had calamari in many different places and it was yummy!! We had drinks etc which were fine. But then we ordered the main.... We had the sea bass with spaghetti and the beef stroganoff, I have to say it was very basic food in my view, the space Spaghetti was cooked well but very oily and quite bland. Definitely needs more flavour, the beef stroganoff was 'meh ' the beef strips were the only redeeming factor in that dish, great beef. I booked this place as a gorgeous looking Italian restaurant to surprise my girlfriend for her birthday and I was not disappointed! The decor of the place was absolutely stunning and lively and we sat in a lovely corner of the restaurant overlooking all of the sights from where we were sitting. We started off with the calamari, crispy and delicious, served with a beautiful tatar that looked homemade, we were pleasantly surprised as it exceeded our expectations. My partner and I love seafood and we were absolutely blown away by the sheer quality, presentation, temperature and taste of the meals we ordered. Such a lovely location, especially for birmingham. The food was absolutely phenomenal I had the lasagna, this was perfect, I then had crepes for dessert and it was incredible, plenty of nutella in the crepes- did not mess around. My partner had pizza, i tried some and it was lovely. We shared a mozzarella garlic bread and it was just what you want in a garlic bread, should’ve had one each. Everything is presented nicely and the servers were brilliant, customer service was amazing. Worth every penny.
Super food, excellent service, a Birthday dinner. The restaurant brought dessert with a candle and Happy Birthday written on the plate. Such a special touch. Will recommend and visit again. Thank you to our waiter and Team Cucina Rustica.

Excellent Italian restaurant. Typical dishes cooked Italian style and very tasty. There is a good wine list to suit all budgets.
A favulou meal. Restaurant was very busy but they still managed the personal touch. Food was excellent. Will definitely return.
