I used to love the food at this restaurant (I've been going since 2014) when it was just the location on 116th street. However, over the years, the quality has really gone downhill. It all started when they briefly offered salmon cakes. The first two times I tried them, they were freshly made but they were almost always out of stock. The last time I had them (they no longer sell them), I saw a worker microwaving them to heat them up, and that was the final straw for me. The only thing I still enjoyed was their banana bread, but last week I had it and had an allergic reaction because now they add large coconut flakes. It's really disappointing.
Great quality and healthy yet tasty food! Our server Roanna really nicely crafted the bowls we ordered. Typical prices and portions are not overwhelming.Salmon was quite good too and everything was fresh.The bulgur was interesting and plenty of non meat, Vegan and vegetarian options. Went there due to lack of good halal spots nearby and we were quite happy with our orders.The açaí looked interesting but we went with other stuff. (This is a deshi family with all demographics who normally won’t stop until we eat some meat lol)
If you haven't tried Claudette's yet, you're missing out! They offer a variety of healthy and delicious food options, as well as pastries. The healthy drinks, hummus, and other treats are wonderful. I make it a point to visit every Saturday just for their green drink! I give Claudette's a perfect 10 out of 10 rating. The staff members are fantastic, especially Ro! Don't forget to ask for her when you visit.
I had the spicy salmon bowl and all I can say is...heaven in bowl! The salmon was seasoned, Brussels sprouts not over cooked and damaged, sweet potatoes nice, and rice was a good texture. It was excellent. Staff was nice. Place appeared to be clean. I paid $21 for bowl and a cup of coffee. A little pricey, but with inflation and me wanting a healthy meal...it is what it is . I will definitely be back!

Claudette's is my go to coffee place. The service is friendly and they don't charge you extra for cinnamon powder on your coffee as another local spot does. Also they have delicious secret breakfasts on the weekends. I have no idea why these are not on the menu but they should be. Claudette's breakfast is the best in Rockaway. It's a shame it's a secret! I'm sure this would be their most popular meal.
High quality ingredients, an awesome location near the beach, and great customer service! Perfect place to get a quick bite or coffee.Our favorite drinks to get there are the oat milk latte and matcha latte!
