One word: Islamophobic. This restaurant serves Halal food to attract Muslim customers, but treats us poorly. I visited with my family at 3 o'clock today. Despite seeing other families dining in, the waiter told us dining in was closed and we could only get takeout. We waited for three hours before calling to confirm if they were open for dine-in, only to be told they had been closed all day. When we arrived to pick up our takeout, we found the restaurant full of people dining in, despite being told it was closed. It seems they didn't want us to eat there because we didn't fit their preferred clientele. Such behavior is unacceptable and this restaurant does not deserve customers.
Our experience was excellent from start to finish! We were seated promptly and Sam was our server. He was knowlegeable about the menu and was able to assist with several dietary requirements we had. They offer soft drinks and allow you to bring your own wine and beer.The food came quickly, was piping hot and we enjoyed each and every dish. We ate tandoori chicken, a plain saag, vegetable biryani and the bindhi. The owner stopped at each table to make sure everything was satisfactory. We eat Indian food once a week and we would not hesitate to return to this restaurant.
For Indian food- it was terrible. No seasoning, and terribly expensive prices for subpar service and below par food. Extremely disappointing. Even after being hungry after a long day, the food was just not good and the portion sizes were a joke. Would not recommend. Oh and we spent over 170$ here thinking the food would be good. They even added a 15% tip on the bill without asking and charged $3.50 for a salad that was literally just onions. No greens, peppers or anything else. Literally. Just. Onions.
Ridiculous restaurant. They don’t serve food in the afternoon.Their chef leaves in the afternoon and we were rushed to order. Do not come here at all unless you’re extremely hungry and dying out of hunger.Food is below average. I believe the only reason this restaurant is functional is that there’s no any other Indian restaurant close by when you are here to explore mansions.NB: You may be softly pushed to give the tip as well.

I had an amazing experience here ! The young lady at the front was prompt to take care of me and the food was amazing ! The Kadai chicken was the right amount of spice and sweetness OMG !!! I love the GARLIC NAAN they’re so quick and fast . I come from Texas and this food right here is AWESOME ! Thankyou CURRYLAND
Curryland has been a reliable source of delicious food for the past five years. While other restaurants in Newport seem to be getting worse and more expensive, Curryland stands out with its generous portions, excellent service, fresh flavors, and affordable prices. I absolutely adore it.
I tried Indian cuisine for the first time and it was absolutely delicious! I ordered Butter Chicken and Cheesy Naan and devoured every bite. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful, and the ambiance was clean and welcoming. I would definitely recommend this restaurant, 10/10!
Quiet, nice place to dine in. I had the best biryani ever. Owner is friendly and hearty, so are the staff.Beside all of that, the food are amazing with reasonable price. You don’t be disappointed. The best Indian/some Nepali cuisine on the town.
