I recently had the pleasure to visit the Italian restaurant Da Mario and was absolutely enthusiastic about my experience! From authentic pizza to dessert everything was just fantastic. The pizza was undoubtedly the best I have eaten in a restaurant in Germany for a long time. The dough was perfect as on site in Naples. It really felt like I had a pizza in Italy. The dessert was another highlight of our evening. Every bite was a pleasure. But it wasn't just the excellent pizza and the delicious dessert that impressed us. The service was exceptional. Wir waren mit 6 Personen an einem Samstag Abend zu Gast in diesem Restaurant. Nach geschlagenen 15min kam die Chefin des Hauses und brachte uns die Speisekarten. Kein Thema!, wären wir nicht die einzigsten Gäste gewesen, die Neu angekommen wären. 30min nach der Bestellung kam die Vorspeise und 60min später die Hauptspeise. Beides war nicht ansprechend angerichtet und lieblos serviert. Dazu war der Preis eine Unverschämtheit ! Der Service war zudem noch wenig herzlich bis unfreundlich. Alles in allem sind wir zu dem Entschluss gekommen, nie wieder einen Fuß dort rein zu setzen.

Hier gehe ich nun seit 2 Jahrzehnten gerne hin, wenn ich etwas italienisches in Coburg suche. Die Spagetti a la Chef sind schon das Standardgericht, aber die Pizza macht schwer Konkurenz. Der Teig ist einmalig luftig cross, da bin ich stets traurig, wenn sich das Essen dem Ende zuneigt. Die Inhaberin kümmert sich persönlich mit Herzblut um die Gäste, wie man es von "la Mama" kennt.

We were spontaneously eating two there, was no problem at all. 2G detection was checked. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We had to wait a good hour for dinner. I didn't find that good because we were extremely hungry. We had a stone oven pizza, this was very fresh and tasty, but the coating was not so lush. And I don't like the ambience. Eine wirklich sehr gute Pizza vom Steinofen. Auch die anderen Speisen überzeugen. Die Bedienung ist sehr freundlich und ja beim Italiener muß man etwas Zeit mitbringen. Das ist aber normal in meinen Augen. Mediteran halt. Hier wird nicht gehetzt und das ist gut so. Imeer wieder gerne gehen wir da zum Essen.

Very good food. Everything is freshly prepared and tastes just super delicious. We were all very satisfied. Whether pizza or noodles. The service was very friendly. We can only recommend Pizzaria Da Mario. Easy tip.

Immer wieder gerne. Freundliche Italienische Familie aus. Die Chefin hat eine unnachahmlichen Art. Sehr lecker die Antipasti und die Pizzen. Dazu kann man in ruhigen Ambiente gut verweilen.

Delicious food, especially the appetizer. The pizza was very good. The floor was relatively thick. But everything's fine.
