I understand restaurants have the right to define their own policies, but require to have 1 dish per person when you are a couple with two kids is a stretch. Especially after we are already seated, ordered a bottle of wine (by the way already more expensive than 2 dishes) and that the table would very likely remain empty for the night. After a long period that restaurants remained closed or trying to manage the COVID restrictions, it seems that Da Peppe is not willing to welcome back their customers! Luckily Saint-Rémy has lots of others options, so you can cross this one from your list!
This fun and buzzing restaurant really packs a great punch for a trip to St. Rémy. Ate here last night on our final evening in this, quite frankly, stunner of a town. It’s a fun place with good service and super food. We booked for 7:00pm, and by half past the place was jumping. We enjoyed lovely Italian food (my mum only has one lasagne per year and it’s at this place!! and it arrived promptly. We always sit on the roof terrace which adds a great atmosphere to this fun and jolly place. A good time had by all… on every trip we make here!
The pizzas are good the wine overpriced…..the staff are awful, I went twice to this restaurant because my friends wanted to go.On both occasions the staff were so rude I couldn’t believe it . Told to pay when leaving we made our way to the exit, the head waiter or whatever rank he holds demanded whether we had paid…as if we were trying to leave without paying.He was so rude it took time for it to sink in. You can get pizza anywhere ….don’t bother going to Da Peppe.
Been coming to france for 20 years and never had a woman waitress as rude as today. Told us we both had to buy a meal (after we had opened a bottle of wine) even though we were not that hungry. Food was undercooked and we left most of it. Waitress did not care. We offered the manager 75 pct of our meal price and left.
