on the search for a brunch stand outside the city (at the fringe festivities), i (mirko) was led by numerous natives of the west to go and visit da won waffles and coffee. da won, Korean for tea house is led by a Korean mother and sohn duo, who have renovated the front of their house in a cute caffe. a large board spans the inner wall and provides all food in this tea house. the seat is limited (about 6-10 inside, with another 10 outside) and is minimally hidden. sneak peek from outside green tea frappe $6 (ca). Must Go. I popped in after a visit to the Reds Shop this place is brilliant!! Had spicy pork with rice (with a garnish of salad with Apple sauce). Just ripping and for 9 bucks it was incredible value. The owner and his Mum were very friendly. Mum even gave me and my son a serve of home made kimchi on the side. She was a bit nervous that it might be too spicy but I have to say that it was the best Kimchi I've had outside of Seoul and by far the best in Australia You must go to this place it would be my recommendation for a pit stop before or after a day game at Hindmarsh.
