The cakes at Daan Go Cake Lab are truly impressive, both in appearance and flavor. We loved the adorable duck-shaped cake that came in a mini bathtub—it was as delicious as it was cute. Kevin, our friendly and helpful server, informed us about a deal on six cakes, which tempted us to try an extra one. The prices are quite reasonable given the creativity and detail put into each dessert. I also noticed they offer macarons, ice cream, and other beautifully crafted cakes. The shop was bustling, especially for takeout, indicating its popularity. They have an alcohol menu as well, which I didn't sample this time but is a nice option for future visits. I ordered a selection of their single-serving cakes through Uber Eats from their location on Spadina, and I was really impressed. The decor and attention to detail are exceptional; they looked so good that I almost hesitated to eat them! I tried the bubble tea, runny egg, pistachio, and ramen cakes, and my favorite was definitely the runny egg. The combination of rich chocolate and the bright, tart passionfruit was truly unique and delicious. While I enjoyed the flavors of the bubble tea and ramen cakes, I wasn't fond of some of the textures, like the mochi balls and pudding.
