Dahlia's Kitchen - Réserver une table

I had heard great things about this restaurant, although it was quite some time ago. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed with both the food and the service. The restaurant was messy, with leftover rubbish on the floor from previous customers, even though it was not busy. We waited for over 40 minutes for a panini and fish and chips, only to be told to fetch our own utensils. The cutlery had dried food on it, as if it had not been properly cleaned. The food itself was subpar, lukewarm and unsatisfying. Good food can sometimes make up for average service, but in this case, both were lacking. We have been regular customers of this café for many years, however, very sadly it is now being very poorly run. We went in recently for breakfast. The tall young lady behind the counter was very rude to customers, with a couldn't care less attitude....When we checked the bill for coffee we noticed we had been charged £7.50 for two ordinary white coffees, My wife returned to the counter and questioned the staff about it, said that's the way it is and sniggered together after my wife left the counter. We checked the menu for Coffee prices, needless to say the prices are not shown on the menu. a hidden charge ?? I cant think of any other venue, including local hotels, charging this for coffee....

the room was decorated lovely and a singer on, it was lovely but unfortunately that was short lived, our meal was booked for 2.30pm, we ordered drinks after waiting approx 30 mins we had to ask where the drinks were, we finally got our drinks...and our starter but at 4pm we were still waiting for our main course , an hour and a half later from arrival, main course arrived looked very nice but all i could taste was cheese, cauliflower cheese and cheese sauce on the potatoes, great if u love cheese. desert was an improvement not if you ordered ice cream, it stated a selection off icecream but wasnt offered a choice of flavour, given 1 scoop of vanilla ice cream, same portion for adult or child...

I paid £3.75 for a subpar standard coffee! The restaurant has also taken all drink prices off the menu and balcony boards, so you don't realize the prices until after you've ordered. The food was alright, but I had to wait 40 minutes for my order to arrive. Additionally, tables were not cleaned or cleared promptly after customers left. We used to be regulars, but we will reconsider returning in the future.

Absolutely flawless meal at Dahlias for the Mothers Day 3 course meal. Highly recommended Lovely home cooked fresh food served by efficient friendly staff. Huge thanks to Shirley and Susie for going that extra mile to make us welcome. Will definitely be back
