Lovely setting/cozy feel. Pastry is generally exceptional. Friendly svc, a bit slow. Sadly, and oddly enough (for a coffee venue) reg coffee is in carafes and is just ok, if not having a latte or espresso beverage, which is good. Should have decent options for simply having a fresh cup of coffee. Paper cups when we went, no mugs yet (sad) if you want to sit in the lovely setting and relax, who want's a paper cup?
"My favorite spot for incredibly fresh, made-from-scratch baked goods, sandwiches, salads, and soups. They serve the best freshly squeezed coffee, and the staff is exceptionally friendly. It's a wonderful place to relax, savor the food, and take in the atmosphere. The building has been beautifully renovated, making it a unique gem for the city. I absolutely love The Daily Baking Company and Port Washington!"
The breakfast sandwiches and pastries were absolutely delicious. We tried a coffee cake, brioche donut, morning bun, and a muffin. While the muffin was a little dry, the morning bun was fantastic and the coffee cake was delightful. They also made an excellent latte. However, the signage for the restaurant is somewhat unclear. It’s located next to the BBQ restaurant, and there’s a sign on the window.
This is a divine bakery and lunch spot, a must-visit if you're in or near Port Washington. The beer bread and banana rum cake are personal favorites, but all of the breads and pastries are fresh and delicious. It's also a beautiful space in a historic building, a great spot to sit and savor. Wish I lived closer! Réservez une table maintenant
The best coffee in the area! As a coffee enthusiast, I can confidently say that their coffee is far superior to anything else nearby. The baked goods and breakfast options are excellent too. My only wish is that their name aligned with their opening hours, because I would be there every day!
