I was recommended this restaurant by a neighbor, but I was thoroughly unimpressed. The young lady who took our order seemed a bit annoyed, setting a disappointing tone from the start. The food was mediocre for the price. We ordered a double cheeseburger and a cheeseburger — they forgot the pickles we requested, and it took another five minutes to get them, which meant my child's burger got cold in the meantime. The gyro was bland, the chicken tenders were average, and we ordered two fries, one order of tots, two slushes, and a strawberry shake, which was actually the only decent item we had. After spending nearly $60 with the tip, I probably won’t be returning, except maybe for those shakes.
Usually, the experience is quite good, but tonight the person taking orders was both rude and incompetent. Despite it being a large order, it was quite simple, yet I had to repeat it several times. The food was at best a 5 out of 10, as the burgers were overly greasy to the point that the wrappers fell apart. Unfortunately, the long drive to get there wasn't worth it this time. However, I’ve had positive experiences during previous visits.
I absolutely adore this restaurant! There’s a fantastic variety of food to choose from. In my opinion, the piña colada snow cone with real strawberries is the best flavor they offer! I also can’t forget to mention the delicious concrete smoothies you can try. This place is definitely one of my top five favorite spots to eat! I just wish they would open one closer to the Belleville area.
