This is a 'proper ' pub in every respect. Only called in for half an hour after a long walk but still very welcoming, honest and down to earth. I had the best pint of Wainwright 's I 've had in a long time. We had two bowls of chips and a pot of tea and really enjoyed the whole visit. No blaring music, no idiot tell me to enjoy and reminiscent of what a good pub should be. Hope to visit again for a bit longer perhaps.
Stayed here for 2 nights in our motorhome, parked for free in their car park. Rang answers checking had space. Warm welcome from very friendly staff. Food good, homemade, small portions available too, which allowed us to share a starter and enjoy the main course. Steak and ale pie deemed excellent. A gem of a place, we shall return.
An excellent choice of traditional pub food at an amazing standard. The food was great quality and clearly homemade, not a microwave ready meal like so many other places. The staff gave a warm welcome and were attentive without being intrusive. A really lovely place that I would strongly recommend
I stopped by for coffee on a hot afternoon. The owner was very friendly and the atmosphere was really nice. The place was clean and the decor was lovely. Overall, it was excellent. I will definitely come back next time I'm in Glasson Dock. Réservez une table maintenant
We called in for a light lunch and a pint and got a nice welcome from the landlord and friendly staff. Sandwich’s and chips were really good. Wasn’t able to visit again this trip but will definitely return when next in the area.
This restaurant is a hidden gem! I highly recommend trying their delicious homemade steak and ale pie with homemade chips. The staff are incredibly welcoming and friendly as well.
We have often thought about having a beer and check out the menu today we did, lovely friendly staff, enjoyed the beer and atmosphere, menu looked good, will definitely go again..
This was our first experience at the Dalton Arms. The food was very very good as was the service. We shall certainly go again and would highly recommend it. Réservez une table maintenant
Stopped for a Sunday lunch … we had the lamb, very nice, large portion .. very hot. Lovely. For good pub grub, make this a place to visit.
