booked a (private room) for my dsughters 30th and paid for there house DJ was informed st the time off booking we couldn’t take our own buffet/food in.. on arrival we were asked if we wanted to provide our own food as they had chef problems(bit lste now) showed to our (private room)apparently it was a private end off the pub that wasn’t cordoned off or signed as private so during the night we had joe public dancing in our(private area) the dj we paid for never played any of our requests . on complaining the week after to the manager/live in lodger Lewis were we told because we didn’t complain on the night (we didn’t as didn’t want a scene or to spoil my daughters big day he wasnt gonna help...
I went to the restaurant with a friend for drinks. It seemed that they close at 9pm. While enjoying some pints with my friend, I went to the bar to order two more drinks, which they sold to us. However, after 5-10 minutes, the owner approached us and told us we needed to finish our drinks and leave. I politely pointed out that if they were about to close, they shouldn't have sold us more drinks. The response from the husband was very rude, to the point where his wife had to tell him to calm down. I used to frequent this place often because I would bring my dog, but after this incident, I and my friends will not be returning. Avoid this place at all costs!
I visited this pub today and had a terrible experience. The place was dirty and run-down, which is a shame considering its nice location. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, we were required to sit at a table and scan a QR code, which I understand and accept. However, we waited a long time for our drinks while others who arrived after us were served before us. In the hour we were there, no one wiped down the tables, which were being used for dining without being cleaned in between. This is unacceptable. Additionally, the prices were quite high. We will not be returning, and I would recommend checking it out before going as our experience was unpleasant.
Hubby went to a birthday party and received a parking fine whilst in the pub, bartender knew he was driving but didn’t mention anything about giving him the car reg. they have since constantly ignored requests for the manager to call back and to contact the company they employ to cancel the fine. Happy to take £40 behind bar that night though

We was sold out of date bottles of beer. When we took them back to ask for some new bottles, the bar manager said they are legally allowed to sell us out of date beer??? Did not swap them and was very rude!
Nice food, reasonably cheap drinks, good view from inside over the lake and nice outdoor seating area. Good, standard pub. Has onsite parking, not many spaces but has never been full when I have been.
Very friendly personnel and the location. It is really good, as well as to visit this restaurant. The lake's entrance is really fajny.
Great place got married there on the twenty first of August nineteen seventy one 3 course hot meal £1 per head had a disco Brilliant

Basic pub food, friendly service. Lovely location overlooking the lake but don't be tempted to swim!
Avoid. Scam parking. Charged 100 pounds to park here. Awful place. Not worth 1 pound let alone 100.
