This restaurant has been a favorite of my partner since the eighties when it was merely a small Italian grocery store and deli, known for its hot and cold grinders. About twenty years ago, it transitioned into the popular restaurant it is today. Starting with her cucumber martini made with Hendricks Gin, I must say it was the best cucumber martini I've ever had—absolutely perfect in taste, balance, and coldness. (Patrons can also opt for Crop cucumber vodka.) The cocktail menu is impressive. The Cabernet Sauvignon we chose was smooth and paired beautifully with our meal.

If I could give this place a negative star, I would. So we decided to try your restaurant rather than our usual place La Tavola. We walked in, hostess friendly, walked into the bar and sat at the only high top in the bar area and we’re promptly ignored by the bartender. He looked at us at least 10 times, never acknowledging our existence. A server walked by at least 3x and didn’t look at us. There seemed to have been a good ol boys club at the bar. How this place has been in business for 40 years is a modern miracle. Don’t bother going. They don’t care about you, nor do they want you.
Everything was fantastic! The service, the food, and the drinks were all top-notch. The only suggestion I have is that our group of 30 could have been seated in a less crowded area. The weather outside was lovely, so we would have enjoyed sitting outdoors for our celebration dinner. The restaurant is a multi-level gem, boasting beautiful woodwork and lovely decor on every floor. I will definitely return soon for another meal, and I know my wife will love it as well! Service: Dine in.
I diamond in the rough. The former house doesn't look like much from the outside but when you walk in the atmosphere changes to warm. The food is amazing and portions are more than enough for a second meal. The Parmigiano pasta experience (yes experience) is only topped by the yummy food that comes from it. As for the service, it wasn't impressive either. Our server was quite slow and didn’t check on us once our food was served. The prices were a bit steep too, with the meal costing $23 for meatballs and pasta. We still ended up tipping 33%, but surprisingly, our server didn’t even come back to thank us for the generous tip. If only the Grotto had been open, we could have enjoyed some truly fantastic Italian food.
My husband and I decided to give this Italian restaurant a try, and I absolutely loved it! Everything was fantastic, even the salad. My husband is usually quite picky, but he thoroughly enjoyed his meal, and we’re already planning to come back for a second visit. The cheesecake dessert was delectable, and the lobster ravioli was delicious. Last but not least, the customer service was outstanding!
We celebrated New Year's with family at D'Amelio and had an amazing experience. Our appetizers, soups, and entrees were all outstanding. The portions were generous, and everything was cooked to perfection. The waitstaff was attentive without being intrusive, and they were very knowledgeable about the menu. I give five stars all around!
I had an excellent meal and top-notch service during my visit. The restaurant was packed at 8 PM on a Tuesday, which added to the lively atmosphere. It had a warm, family-friendly vibe, and I truly enjoyed the experience.
