First time visiting and discovered that we had been missing a spectacular dining experience. We come to the area often to visit my wife's parents and have been to every restaurant of note. Damenti's is definitely the best restaurant in the area. The food was perfectly prepared, and the service and atmosphere are also unmatched. We started with the Fried Green Tomatoes, which were the best that we've had in years. My wife had the salmon stuffed with spinach and carrots. I had the Manhattan Clam Chowder, maybe the best I've ever had, and their famous Blue Cheese Salad, which definitely reflects the fanfare. Don't let the prices scare you because quality is top notch and portions are good size....
The food was fabulous. I like the menu how they offer their entrees. Beef Seafood, chicken, pasta and then underneath each category offer at least nine different types of dishes. Their sides or different from any other restaurants. I had salmon with a shrimp stuffing ,zucchini shredded with garlic butter , a blue cheese salad with extremely crispy iceberg lettuce chunks, and a sweet potato mash. The salmon was cooked to perfection quite a large serving. There was a large selection of appetizers and also desserts. 1. The food was quite good. I ordered the duck with an orange glaze, which I enjoyed, although I felt it could have been more seasonal. I also had a side of broccoli, and I would have loved if it had some melted cheddar cheese on top. Overall, I was satisfied with my meal. 2. The service was excellent. My server, Whitney, was knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive. 3. The restaurant's facilities felt new, fresh, and clean, which added to my positive experience. 4. The prices were moderate—not the cheapest, but certainly more reasonable than typical chain restaurants. I would definitely recommend this restaurant!
In the Hazleton area, this may be the finest dining option available, given the limited choices. The restaurant has clearly been around for many years, and the decor gives it a nostalgic feel that some might find charming, while others could see it as outdated. The staff is friendly and attentive, providing prompt service. Although the menu isn't extensive, it offers a variety of dishes that should cater to most tastes. I enjoyed a lovely dinner on a warm fall day on the beautiful screened-in porch, which can be closed when the weather cools down. My meal was very flavorful and enjoyable. The venue, restaurant, ICE4U2C exhibition, as well as the staff and owners, will amaze you with their warm hospitality—a rarity in life. The food is absolutely delicious, and the dining area is so inviting that you’ll find it hard to leave. My son met a gentleman there, and they both enjoyed the coincidence of sharing the same name and spelling: "ELLIOTT." One is 27 and the other is 63. They are pictured together here. This is a wonderful place to visit, and it has become a true favorite of ours over the years.
Excellent food and atmosphere. Had fun. Most reviews are positive. But anyone anywhere can have a bad experience, it happens... 1 of the negative reviews is clearly fake (Andrew Watson). I 've worked in Board of Health, but travel for work now, different career. This place is ultra clean. I suspect Andrew is an owner of a different competing restaurant.
