I'm from Lake Charles and have traveled all over the U.S for work/military and love a good sammich. I've wasted money thinking I may find something better or at least equivalent. I was wrong and I'm ok with that. Nothing beats this place, in my opinion. The only issue I have is that so many people who are unaware of this gem. Geaux Pokes! We were on a road trip, and we stopped here randomly. The place looked a bit too local for me, and didn't have too many choices, just few sandwiches. I got the surf and turf with sauce on the side, I highly recommend doing that or it will be too messy. The sandwich was AMAZING. Once I ate the food I was more relaxed. My wife got the bbq sandwich, it wasn't that great. I would eat here again.
