My mom said this is the best sushi place in Chicagoland and she's absolutely correct. They have a very wide selection of sushi and sashimi, you can't go wrong with any of them. I had the beef udon soup which I was kinda scared about since at another restaurant it was pretty bad. My hopes were not crushed, however, as this was some of the best udon soup I've ever had. My family got a bunch of sushi and sashimi which was all equally extremely good. The fish is all fresh and everyone was really nice! I had high expectations for this place and was slightly underwhelmed. The inside was clean but seemed slightly fallen into disrepair. I had the udon which cane in a big cast iron pot which was interesting but tasted not out the ordinary. The staff was attentive! Things came out quickly and came out hot. They even brought out a tiny little cheesecake for my brother since it was his birthday. Some people in the party got sushi- it was about standard nothing crazy delicious nothing bad. Very middle of the road. This place wasn't bad at all by any means, but I don't think I would journey back.
we celebrated the birthday of a friend, so we had 1 of the private rooms that were really comfortable. the service was good, eating was delicious and the sushi was amazing. it is the first time that I had sashimi that melted in my mouth and it is an experience that I probably do not forget. the Japanese spaghetti on the menu was surprisingly delicious. I say surprisingly, because I didn't know what to expect. the only conczil was the restroom that was not very clean when I came in. Nevertheless, I would recommend this place for the food, service and atmosphere.
Daruma is a popular destination for Japanese travelers. You will often see groups of Japanese businessmen dining. It is a good spot for family and date night dining as well. The food is traditional flavor and quality. The atmosphere is nice and the service has always been good for us. I recommend making reservations, especially if you would like one of the private dining rooms that you sit in the floor. You will have to remove your shoes if you want those rooms.

I had an amazing experience at this sushi restaurant. The staff were very helpful and provided great suggestions when I was unsure of what to order. The service was quick and efficient. I would definitely recommend this place. The dine-in experience was for dinner and the price per person ranged from $50 to $100. The food was fantastic, receiving a rating of 5, as well as the service. The atmosphere was rated a 4.
We had been coming here for over 5 years and the food is always tasty, served hot and reasonable. We always get the lunch specials.Our favorite are grilled Chicken teriyaki bento box, fried oysters and curry chicken plate with rice. The grilled chicken is juicy and yet crispy on one side.The staff is always friendly and prompt.
You know it's an authentic experience when nearly every other patron is speaking exclusively in Japanese. I ordered the karaage and yakisoba and was thoroughly impressed. The yakisoba came on a hot plate and was a greasy, savory, and tangy delight. The karaage was well seasoned, crisp, and moist. Highly recommended!Food: 5/5
