We popped in for coffee on a snowey day and asked if they had space for lunch they didn’t but as we sat there and supped our beverages and some lovely free carrot cake, a cancellation came through. Would always recommend putting your name...on the wait list, if you haven’t had the foresight to book a day in advance, as heard the staff get a number of cancellations when we were there. Went back at 2pm for a gorgeous lunch. Had a pasta, Parmesan and truffle pasta to share for starter ... made in a big wheel of Parmesan (see photo) followed by some amazing fish and meat dishes for main. Lovely wine list to accompany. I don’t normally recommend going to the toilet but you should make the trip it...
We came for lunch on a very windy Sunday,. We called and booked in the morning and as the skilifts closed due to strong winds we were wondering if it at all would be open, it was and we were in for a treat! This...is a fantastic restaurant at 2445m above sea level! The soup of the day was curry-kokos with lobster witch was delicious and we tried the Original Wienerschnitzel that was also great! If you are in the area and want to have a nice lunch this is a real gem!
We had a great lunch at Das Elephant on a beautiful sunny day. It’s definitely worth waiting for a reservation outside. There is a glass partition which stops the wind probably quite necessary on some days as you’re at the top of the mountain....The food was amazing there’s a good range for non meat eaters we had goats cheese with beetroot carpaccio to start, pasta with black truffle for mains. Swift and friendly service. A memorable experience indeed.
they must be reserved and while sitting outside is great it can get quite windy. also during the unprecedented hot magic ende februar we ended inside. probably my favorite meal during the four days I spent in flims. the truffle pasta was divine. the staff was very friendly and helpful and please use the bathroom....it will be a smile.
