I had lunch here today with my husband, Mum, Sister Niece. We hadn’t seen each other in years looked for somewhere halfway we could meet for lunch. We stumbled across this little gem on Trip Advisor decided to give it a...go. I’m so glad we did. Very friendly staff the food was wonderful. Portions were big food was very well prepared presented. Would definitely return here if I’m in the neighbourhood again. Thank you Das Esszimmer for the lovely lunch afternoon!

It is a small German town without many restaurants. We ended in this small restaurants with a limited menu. It almost feels you are in a living room. The service is fast and friendly and the menu of the day was a typical Wiener Schnitzel....The Schnitzels are made in the open kitchen and tasted delicious. Together with a soft drink and a coffee you can really eat here for a decent price.

Even though there was plenty of choice in the menu we went for the grillplatter which is an assortment of meats with grilled veg and fried potatoes. It was very tasty and each meat was seasoned differently.

They have great delicious vegetarian friendly food, I love the sweet potato and the Champignons salads. The minus is their place is too small and doesn’t have good ventilation

Tasteful, fresh, customizable, and not expansive!!! You can build your plate from the (although limited) simple menu at your own taste Worth it
