Dave's was FANTASTIC. Back home in Virginia Beach last weekend for a nostalgic visit. Our old spot at Hilltop, next to the former medical supply store is long gone. We tried Dave's and it rocked! Lucky, my wife and I wanted pulled pork sandwiches because they were sold out of brisket and ribs. I would have tried both.lots of care goes into this food. We are Eastern Carolina vinegar based folks and Dave's sauce was great. They have numerous options. We can't get back to Va. Beach fast enough to hit Dave's again. Next time I will ask if they can toss our pulled pork in the sauce in a small bowl before installation on the very fresh roll. 6 stars for this joint! UPDATE: Back in VAB and at Dave'...

Lay off the spices! Stumbled upon this spot recently, couldn’t get a good taste for the meat it was so saucy and peppery, the spicy slaw almost ruined the whole meal, no flavor just spicy sauce, like choking, runny nose, headache fm this hot goo! the brisket had too much fat for us. On a good note the beans were a meal and allowed to be saucy and over seasoned! Portions are plenty , Service was booming which I think were more locals who consider VA the south. If they let up on the spices and trash the slaw I’d go back for a bone and some beans!

First time trying Dave's BBQ while on vacation, and it will be a regular go-to for some excellent BBQ! We got the 3 meat platter with spicy cole slaw and potato salad and the pulled pork platter with green beans and potato salad. Extremely tasty with very generous portions. I highly recommend Dave's BBQ for your BBQ cravings! Sorry I couldn't wait and had to sample the potato salad!

Just had a Briscit Sandwitch combo, and it was deeeeeelicious ! They know what they are doing, and meat with or without any souse was just a piece of heaven in mouth. And probably the best slaw I ever had. Nice and loose atmosphere, funny and easygoing staff and reasonable prices ! Will come back many times for sure. Réservez une table maintenant

If your looking for real deal BBQ with all the trimmings then look no further. Stopped in on a Sunday had plenty of choices, food and service was great. You order the food and they prepare it right in front of you. Took half the meal home large portions. Want to try the smoked wings

We are from California (but we are not like the rest of those odd citizens). This place is excellent and if we ever return to Virginia Beach for sure I will return. Had trouble writing this due to my meat coma.

I always leave with no room left in my stomach. The people are nice, the food is fantastic. And now they have a bigger, better location. I'm glad yall could move into a bigger place!!!!
