Located in Cecil Place Prahran, David's restaurant is a hidden gem in Melbourne. From the moment we entered, we were impressed by the exceptional food, service, and ambiance. Our first visit for the Sunday Yum Cha exceeded our expectations with its great value for money and delicious offerings. The highlight was the house specialty, David's dumplings, which left us wanting more. We eagerly look forward to returning next week. A big thank you to Adam, Christine, and the entire team at David's for a wonderful dining experience. I would rate it 11 out of 10!
As an anaphylactic to nuts, eggs and seafood there are very few restaurants, let alone those offering a non-western menu, that you can come to and feel so very welcomed! I've been to a few Chinese places across Melbourne and you guys outdid them all on everything. I didn't feel like an inconvenience or a hassle because of an allergy, and the food and service could not be faulted! Can't wait to come back and show many more friends and family my experience for themselves!
We had a fantastic dining experience at this restaurant. We dined with our friends and received excellent treatment. The food was of superior quality and the portion sizes were generous. The staff delivered exceptional service. We will definitely be returning in the future.
We have been going since before it went Shanghai country style. The food was always exceptional but is now also a most unique Chinese dining experience. The staff is always highly attentive and keen to make the visit as enjoyable as possible.

The atmosphere and food at this restaurant were perfect. We chose a beautiful bottle of red wine to go with our meal. I highly recommend the pork belly dish! I can't wait to come back for yum cha in the future.
Food is great, staff are genuine and sincere and always made to feel welcome. Every single dish is worth having time and time again. Take away is also well worth doing. Keep up the good work

Amazing food Char Siu Buns where superb. Excellent service, great atmosphere setting and most definitely offers good value. Would recommend for sure.
