Last night, my party of 4 adults and 4 kids visited Dawaat expecting a delicious Christmas curry. As huge curry fans from the North, we were hoping for a top-notch meal at this renowned location. Unfortunately, we were disappointed with the portion sizes - small bowls and minimal servings left us wanting more. The flavors were underwhelming, with the korma being unusually spicy. To make matters worse, our bill was unexpectedly high, with added charges sneaking in. In the end, we paid £180.25 for a meal that didn't impress us. We would have gotten the same food and drinks for £100 at our local curryhouse. Overall, a lackluster and overpriced dining experience.
Having not heard much about Dawaat Restaurant, my friend and I decided to give it a chance. We were pleasantly surprised by the excellent service provided by Mahabub. His knowledge of the menu was impressive and the dishes he recommended were delicious. The atmosphere was welcoming and we never felt rushed. Mahabub was attentive and it seemed like he had eyes in the back of his head, always knowing when to approach our table. We never had to wait long for our drinks. Overall, Mahabub's exceptional service made our experience at Dawaat memorable. We will definitely be returning because of him. Kudos to Dawaat for having such a standout employee!
our first order of chilli pepper. we have a Deliveroo order. it was very tasty eating, came hot, good portions. came a bit later than estimated, but we ordered on nye as completely understandable as it is probably the most busy day of the whole year! beautiful NYE message from the restaurant that was a nice note. will definitely order again!
