I just had dinner at this beautiful place and I must say it was amazing. I ordered curry beef and it came with rice peas, cabbage and plantain. I don't even eat cabbage, but baby lets me tell you whatever they made this cabbage so delicious. I ordered the rum punch and it was very good and strong. The woman who served me was so nice and polite. When the night fell, they turned the lights onto the terrace and a dj began playing Reggae music. I felt like I was on a Carribean island, just stepped back and enjoying me. I met some very nice people who are regular and just had a very nice time here. We really enjoy dining at Da Island Breeze/Shop, especially the salmon and jerk chicken, which are always flavorful and perfectly spiced. The rice and peas are also excellent and really complement the meal. This is a fantastic spot for authentic West Indian cuisine. The front staff are friendly and welcoming. If you have a specific dish in mind, it's best to call ahead, as they seem to prepare only a limited quantity of each item daily. Ordering late in the day might mean you miss out on your favorites.
Excellent customer service, always remember my face when I order. I had eaten here for over 20 years when they were on Hamilton St. and they were a little business. The food is ALWAYS good, I just trust her ache Saltfish. Since they've been closed for this pandemic, I'm sorry! I don't eat anyone else. I love you Island Breeze! Don't wait until you get up. Have my favorite dish, I've always come here since they've opened again.
Diving is not an option here. If you're on the hunt for Caribbean cuisine in the area, I highly recommend planning ahead, as there is often a wait. The positives about this place are the delicious food, reasonable prices, and overall good value for your money. My go-to dishes are the Reggae Shrimps, Curry Goat, or their beef patties. I usually swap out the rice for mac and cheese, and their cheesecake is also very tasty.

I recently dined at this restaurant and I have to say I was disappointed with the food. I tried the beef stew, which was extremely fatty and tough, making it difficult to eat and chew – definitely not tender. As a fan of mac and cheese, I found theirs to be quite unsatisfactory; I really didn't enjoy it at all. I won’t be returning to order from here again.
Food was really good, but definitely not fresh at all. I enjoyed the beef and vegetable patties. The Plantains were cold and soggy, the shrimps and goats were good, but the roti on both plates was not to eat at all as soon as I took it, it began to crawl. Very disappointed!
The food doesn’t appear to be fresh because you can tell when food with gravy is warmed in the microwave and it was only 12:15 PM. Even the plantains didn’t taste good I am so disappointed
Food was good. Except macaroni. IT WAS TRASH. My baked Mac Cheese taste better than that ?. Excessive wait time..so make sure to call your order in beforehand. Would order again

Charming Jamaican restaurant. The food was served promptly, prices were reasonable, and the staff was very attentive. I will definitely return!
The food is terrible it's not Jamaican food at all. I once buy from there and found peace of plastic in my food and never went there since.
