Had a wonderful dinner for 8 last night at De La Torres! All of the entrees were excellently prepared — lasagne, shrimp scampi, salmon, truffle risotto, special prosciutto wrapped shrimp with fresh figs in Gorgonzola sauce, and capellini with roasted tomatoes and garlic and a couple of good wines. We also enjoyed the calamari appetizer and Caesar salads! The sweet ending to our dinners included affogato dessert, gelato, and a couple of chocolate raspberry crème brûlées! We were seated and served promptly. The salads were quite good, especially the primavera, with its crunchy apples. The minestrone was spicy with plenty of vegetables; a large portion for a cup size. The baked ziti and tagliatelle bolognese were excellent. The medium-sized Pizza Tartufo was just enough for dinner and a lunch. Excluding the wine, dinner was about $30 per person, which was a huge bargain, considering the quality (and quantity) of the food and the service.
De La Torres is wonderful family owned Italian Restaurant located in a strip mall in Pleasanton CA. and well worth a visit . The menu is excellent with a variety of special dishes . The food is great the service is always good and reasonably priced. The restaurant is small and almost always full so the noise level can be an issue if you are looking for quiet romantic evening .
Always a great evening from the time you enter until dessert! Service here is outstanding. The menu has favorites as well as daily offerings with a creative flare. The pasta is the freshest I've had.  Already looking forward to our next visit.

Well, we gave it a shot. Food tasted like a microwaved TV dinner. Staff was very friendly and attentive. Food was subpar to say the least. Skip this one. Trust me.
