Si vous êtes particulier concernant votre espresso ou vos cafés filtres, trouver votre café du matin en France peut être un défi. Certains sont excellents mais beaucoup ne le sont pas. Si vous êtes à Uzès ou dans les environs, jetez un œil au Bar de l'Esplanade. Nous avons remarqué les panneaux proposant plus de 8 variétés régionales du Guatemala, du Mexique, du Brésil, etc. certaines variétés biologiques 'bio', et du décaféiné péruvien ; après 2 semaines en France, nous avons été inspirés par l'idée que nous avions le choix. Alors nous sommes entrés. Il s'agit d'un classique café-bar français populaire auprès des résidents locaux, lumineux et convivial, et en plus des tables à l'intérieur,...
If you are a tourist DO NOT go here. They will not serve you. LITERALLY. You will sit and sit waiting for someone to take your order and you will still be sitting while many others are served. You will finally have to get up and leave. My friends told me this happened to them in this otherwise incredibly friendly town (I live here), and I thought they must have misperceived the situation; but then it happened again to other English speaking friends. Both groups ended up leaving with no one ever having taken their order or even acknowledging their presence.
Je suis entré sur les conseils de l'ancien critique de l'espresso....mais! Si vous êtes un snob de l'espresso comme moi, ne vous attendez pas à être trop excité, beaucoup de variétés mais qualité de capsule! Tout le monde autour de moi se délectait d'huîtres qui semblaient bien passer, je ne sais pas si c'est juste le jour du marché.
The bar itself isn 't that special at all. But on market days you can eat fresh Oysters from the local fish seller on the terras. Even though the bar is located near the road this is an thing you should absolutely try if you like 'La douce France ' and of course Oysters.
