This self service serves surprisingly good Roesti with sausage, and has a stunning view over to the Matterhorn mountain range. It is much quieter than the restaurant at Bendolla and has a nicer setting as well. As with all of Switzerland, the prices are quite high, however this is not specific to this location. This is best as a point to break from skiing or for non-skiing family and friends to visit for lunch as it is easily accessed from Zinal via the Sorebois cable car.
Consists of three areas: self catering, self service (sandwiches 5-8chf, fries with hamburger, pastas, croutes at 20chf) and sit down waiting service restaurant. The views on the large terrace are more than spectacular and the terrace is lovely sunny. It gets very built 12-13 but after 13:30 very easy to get a good spot as well as for morning coffees.
Stopped often for lunch with friends as this place is at the end of Grimentz-Sorebois cable car and ur last chance to eat before heading for a trek. U can chose from simple takeaway sandwiches to fondue or raclette, all averagely good and honest prices. Owner and staff very friendly . Edo the cook the best ever! Great 360’ views, out&inside tables.
We reached Sorebois after a strenuous hike. The restaurant gave us a great place to take a break enjoy a snack and take in the views. We were lucky enough to also enjoy the entertainment provided for a group of 150 tourists from Belgium. The singing and dancing added to or enjoyment of the awesome mountain and valley views.
