Thoroughly disappointing! We booked at the hotel because there was a nice restaurant attached. We booked a table, when we checked in at 2pm we had our table booking confirmed for 6.30pm. Upon arrival to the restaurant it was all in darkness, a member of staff came to tell us it was closed after an emergency that had happened this morning and we could sit in the bar. The only tables available in the bar were low ones with big lounge chairs..not the seating for a meal! When we first arrived the staff we first spoke to had no idea what we were talking about when we said we had a table booked. They had to call a supervisor who after arriving directed us to sit in an area next to the hotel reception which was crowded and had a film crew there filming something. We ordered our food at the bar. When our food arrived, we were so surprised by the poor quality of the food, it was literally tasteless. All three of us were unable to finish the food and we are not fussy eaters. We then decided to leave. I went to the bar to pay and there was no staff. Despite booking a table in the restaurant for a special occasion, the hotel decided to close the restaurant for dinner the day before, without notification, and seat everyone in the open bar area. The menu online was also out of date and dishes were no longer available. The bar area was shared with a wedding party for about an hour so it was crowded and noisy. First drink (Aperol Spritz) returned because the Prosecco was flat. The steak was dry with very little sauce/jus. Over priced and mediocre.
we were disappointed in the dinner service. we had asked for olives to start with our preordered drinks. the waitress took all the order that contained a bottle of wine to have with our food. everything came together without our cry we had to wait for. we thought it was too eager and not relaxing. the personal has put my request to a seat.

When i booked for lunch, no where did i read the restaurant didnt open until 17 30hrs,spoilt a 70th Birthday,plus had to pay £5 to park my car,only salvation was the staff were very good. The bar menu only consisted o four choices,the menu was from a printer, with the end word and price missing!
Vegan options limited 1 option for starter, 2 for main, 1 for dessert. Main food portion was incredibly small for the price, and not particularly inventive. Vegan options need an overhaul in my opinion. In comparison to a 100% vegan restaurant I visited the week before, this was poor.
