We popped in after a friend told us about this place. It was fairly late in the afternoon, yet we received a warm, friendly welcome. The cafe is located on a working farm (they have a viewing gallery if you want to see the cows being milked) and there is plenty of parking available. It’s a traditional setting, but none the worst for it. There’s a good selection of food on offer and even a selection of their own ice cream which I’m set on trying on our next visit. This little farm shop is a gem in Shelley The people are very kind, even if I'm away for 6 months or a year, they still remember me when I come in and ask how I am. They make fabulous cakes if you ask them, they've made cakes for my dad's birthday and Christmas for me and they're always a hit. They're also really accommodating, as I live abroad they trust that I'll come in and pay and work around me. I've eaten here a few times and their breakfasts are big and tasty, they're also happy to work around you if you want to swap something for something else. I haven't been to this restaurant in over a year. My wife had a large salad with beef, ham, pork pie, boiled egg, pickle, pickled onion, and more. I don't know how she managed to eat it all! I had a bacon, brie, and cranberry toastie with salad and crisps. We shared a can of Coke. The bill came out to £19.95, but the food was excellent and the service was great. We will definitely be back.
For a delightful traditional Sunday lunch, make sure to stop by Dearne Lea Tea Rooms. The homemade roast pork was incredibly tasty and the service was warm and efficient. My wife tried the mushroom wellington, which was also outstanding, and we were blown away by the pecan pie we took home for dessert. Don't hesitate to check out this place, you won't regret it.

Called for lunch today. The staff made us welcome, were very attentive and helpful. The food was very nice and good value. We used to visit quite regularly before COVID arrived but its our first visit since. Everything just as nice and table service a definite improvement on previous ordering procedure. All in all an enjoyable visit, will be back soon.
I had Fish and chips at this restaurant a few days ago. It arrived in just two minutes, which immediately raised some concerns. The batter on the fish was soggy and it seemed like the fish had been reheated. It was definitely not great and I will not be ordering Fish and chips from here again.
Visited at the weekend and ordered cream scones with cups of tea. Very surprised to be given squirty cream as opposed to clotted/whipped. The cafe is sited on a dairy farm selling all varieties of cream, ice cream and milk?! Who wants airy fairy tinned stuff?
The service was excellent staff very friendly. The food was delicious. We had one Sunday lunch the lamb was very tender, and one quiche which was deep and full of ham and cheese. The ice creams are amazing could eat them all.

Really rude lady at the counter. Asked for a white coffee and she threw her arms in the air saying “what type” just no need. A white coffee is an americano with milk..
Had a lovely Sunday dinner and the cook (A wee laddy) came out to make sure the food was alright. Great service, would come again
