We visited this restaurant to celebrate the end of the year with work colleagues. The group of people at this dinner were all upper management who dine out frequently as part of their jobs. The venue itself was beautiful. From the moment we entered the Raffles hotel itself I was in awe of the visual ambience that had been created. It was a Wednesday night and the venue was packed. My partner and I went to Deco on a Saturday night. We had a table booked at 8.30 pm, on arrival it was very noisy, crowded and the staff were not so friendly. We were taken to a small table close to the window which had a view to the river. I noticed my chair was stained before sitting down which was a bit unpleasant. It was almost impossible to talk to my partner because of the noise, many nearby people were shouting their way over the noise. We were a party of six persons. All ordered oysters and the kilpatrick style of oyster arrived with all hot filling the smallest oyser we have ever seen and covered with a terrible amount of brown burnt bitter tasting whateverThe oyster mornay was the same small oyster and all mornay.Two of us had the Marron with risotto which once again was stonecold, as if it had been cooked and plated many hours before.My husband specifically asked if the fish was fresh and was toldyes. Had a nice dinner here last week. The restaurant is beautifully set up, with nice views. Very good quality linen, and tableware is used. Service was good, but not refined.I had the Crab salad starter. Very fresh, and tasty. Well presented. Steak for a main course, which was cooked to perfection, but the outside was charred, so had a slight burnt taste. Also the meat was very under seasoned. I would return, but when I have saved up!!! Went here for mothers day dinner and it was a great choice. Service was very welcoming and nice, food was great and the views from the restaurant are great.Had the charcuterie board and it was delicious with nice salamis, nice pate and more - after this had the New York steak which was cooked to perfection.All in all a nice restaurant albeit in the higher price end but worth it.

Our Third visit to Deco. This meal was a vast improvement.We had Entre of Oysters and open ravioli with wild mushroomsthen a main of Steak and marron on risotto.The steak was excellent as were all the dishes.We met the new Restaurant Manager a conveyed to himto keep it us and we will be back

I'm usually put of if the word hotel is part of the name. Deco is located upstairs away from the noise. The food, especially the crayfish, is great. The wine is priced well and the staff are great. If in Perth it's a must try. After dinner the bar is a good for a hangout.

Overall is expensive but great food, drinks and service was good too.I would recommend to a special occasion or to tourists with a taste for fine dining.

we have been to the Deco a number of times in the past twelve months, each time very good, meals great service very attentive, highly recommend.
