Credit card machine is not on the counter and the oriental lady kept screaming for my pin number (I must also mention that there were other customers inside still) which is why I had to tell her that there was no way I was giving her my PIN number. I was then allowed to go behind the counter and put in my PIN number. The donuts were rather subpar to tell you the truth. They were giving away the Apple Fritters when we purchased 2 dozen donuts because no one was going to buy them, they reminded me of jerky. The jalapeno kolache was good though.
I just got off the phone with the owner, attempting to make sure that they were open. He was short, Kurt and rude. After all these years and Delbert used to spend $12-$20!everytime we were on our way some way! Negative advertising by the mouth is the WORST THING EVER- it spreads like a wild fire. True or not! He could have answered my few questions and reassured me he was there. Since the place in San Augustine hadn’t updated there ad in 4 years!!!!
I've been wondering why they make less donuts every time we stop in there. Today got the answer in the form of the driest, most overpriced muffins I have ever seen in my life. $2.70 for a muffin I could have gone to B&B and got 3 for $3 and they wouldn't have been stale and dry. Kolaches are still good which is why I am giving them 2 stars but if you looking for donuts keep driving.
Great lil spot to stop in at when headed down US96. Very pleased with purchase and next time I'm down that way and they're open I'm stopping back by there for sure Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Most shops give you half cake donuts and then some regular with sprinkles. This shop actually gives you an assortment and they taste great. Ps.koloachis are the best
I had the worst apple fritter I've ever tasted here. The kouglache was decent, though. Unfortunately, the woman at the counter was extremely unfriendly.
This place is absolutely disgusting inside! Food is below average and the bread on the kolaches we order was stale! Definitely won't be going back!
