I have been coming to Deermans BBQ ever since I was a little girl. My family and I used to love to eat here after church on Sunday's. Ever since they moved to their current location the food has not been the same. I'm extremely disappointed with myexperience today! I went through the drive thru a little after 11:00 a.m. I ordered the Special which is hamburger steakw/gravy and onions with two sides and bread). Whoever was taking orders was struggling with taking my order. I had to repeatmyself repeatedly and once I pulled to the window...I yet again had to repeat my order! I asked for a slice of the cocola cakethe lady didn't have a clue what I was talking about! Yet it's on the freaking men...
Food was good. Had a take out order for a group. Everyone's dinner was complete and presentation was nice. Food was very good. BBQ was tender and lean, beans were flavorful, buns were fresh. Service was old school polite and sweet. First time I've been inthis area in years. Glad I remembered it. I knew the place whrn it was new. Nothing changes when you are doing it right thefirst time. Keep up the good work, stay prayed up and blessed by the Father. Roll Tide. You are 50 miles from my home but wewill be back soon.
Deerman's Barbeque is the Go-To place for good barbeque and soul food. It's my favorite restaurant for Sunday dinner on-the-go. I always get the spare rib plate (4 meaty bones) and two sides with cornbread muffins. I always order fried okra, fried toperfection, and butter beans that taste like my mother seasoned them herself. Yum, yum, yummy!
I confess, I don't go here for Barbeque (I've never even tried it), but their Chicken Salad sandwich on grilled Texas toast is awesome!! Topped with lettuce and slices of tomatoes that always taste fresh! Then I top it off with a piece of the homemade peanut butter cake! Love! I highly recommend that you check it out! Reasonably priced.

I found the chicken and beef brisket to be incredibly dry, making it almost impossible to eat. It was an expensive meal that I couldn't enjoy at all. The highlight of my visit was definitely the waitress; she was great. Unfortunately, my neighbors at another table ended up with food poisoning. I cannot recommend this restaurant.
This place is a literal gem. I wanted the special of the day but they were out pretty early so I got the hamburger steak, taters and gravy, Okra and cornbread. I have no complaints. The food was hot and fresh. The lemon pie they have is the bomb. Overall I totally recommend if you want food that taste homemade.
The smoked dark quarters were the best I've ever had! The greens and cornbread were fantastic! If we find ourselves near Birmingham again, this will be our go-to place! The manager was really friendly, and the food arrived just moments after we sat down. We left feeling completely satisfied!
The chicken beef brisket were so dry it was difficult to swallow. Expensive meal I couldn't eat. The best thing there was my waitress. My neighbors were at another table the husband wound up with food poisoning. No recommendations from me for thisrestaurant.

I visit this restaurant quite frequently with my five daughters, and I absolutely love it. The place is always very clean, and the food is perfect. I can't help but wonder if I should make it my regular spot! #TheTwinsMom
