I got the house special redfish $18, and she got the six piece fried shrimp dinner $16. Was very disappointed in the quality of the food. I turned down the onions and green pepper topping they kept suggesting since it was blackened, but finally relented. Dees, situated in Vernon, Florida, is a beloved community spot and a popular choice for lunch. I ordered a large burger with fries, and it was quite enjoyable. The service was a bit slow, but we weren’t in a rush and had a nice conversation, so I don't hold it against the waitress. As for parking, it tends to be crowded during lunchtime, but there's usually a spot available.
Preface: the place was full.My food came out a little warmer than room temp. My catfish wasn't good and not even my dog would eat it when I tried to give it to him once I got home. I'll give them another try when they are less busy.
The waitress asked if we were good when we finished our food and actually said she didn't want us going away hungry! Don't think that's possible. The food was delicious. This is a hidden gem!

Wow. I love places like these with friendly people and great food. The crab bites were amazing as were the onion rings, shrimp sandwich, and okra. Would love to come back
