The food here wasn’t bad in terms of taste. However, the portions were definitely on the small side, I felt like I left hungry. The food came out so quickly. That there is no way it was cooked to order. Which is a bit disappointing with Italian food. Precooked food may save time, but it never tastes as good. The waiter was nice, but they were all dressed like they just came in off the street. So it was hard to tell who worked there and who didn’t. The history of this place is pretty interesting and the decor of the restaurant was cool, albeit a little jaded. However, the men’s restroom was in dire need of TLC. Plus I will always call out a restaurant that still doesn’t have urinal dividers…....

Delicious! I'm hesitant to order Italian food outside of Italy so am very picky and DeGidio's did not disappoint. And I could tell by the full parking lot and inside that the food was going to be good. I had fettuccini w/pesto sauce and chicken--every bite was excellent. Even the pieces of chicken tasted like they had been cooked in herbs. My sangria was nothing special, but then I'm comparing it to a fabulous place in Porto Portugal. I'd like to see their dessert menu expanded--cheesecake would be nice. The prices were the biggest surprise--they were incredibly reasonable. We had a birthday dinner, w/drinks and dessert for 4 for $100. The entree prices were under $20 well-below steak eateri...
friendly service, and they say it is a really old business that is pretty cool. I felt like the sauce was a little hard. perhaps over boiled or over salted. everything seemed to have a lot of kick. I have no pleasure, but it seemed so upset. it could have been a night, but I have sampled other people teller, and the sauce was consistently hard. When I reheated my Lasagna people, they were even more overwhelming. I really don't want to be critical that a place that's been there for over 80 years, I just think it's real. the service was really nice, and the prices were cool. you should check them and see if I'm wrong. they earn my repeat business on the basis of their hospitality. I'll try aga...
Most Italian restaurants closed on Monday so that's how we ended up here. We had a table reserved for 5...absolutely fantastic here. We all gobbled down most of the food before itook pictures. I will remember the warm olive appetizer and my special-squash ravioli with hazelnuts and balsamic glaze most of all. It's a dish I will dream about...like phenomenal! Super busy and I can see why. They do have a huge parking lot but it was packed. Waitress was superb! Make a reservation if you are going. Just GO!!!!! 10 OUT OF 5 Réservez une table maintenant
The best low-profile restaurant in St. Paul. I grew up in St. Paul and this is my favorite restaurant. Simple menu, huge portions and great service keep it busy. Gotta try the spicy blackened shrimp pasta or the classic Hot Dago, You won't be disappointed. Dining in the cool bar is an option when you can't grab a table. Highly recommend.
I was really impressed with the service and food. Cheese bread is in a class of its own without question. They have their own large parking lot too, so don’t worry about the meter. We’ve been back here a few more times since the first visit. Legit place! You have to try it.
fantastic service and food quality and aromas. the pasta is boiled al dente and the sauce is exactly right and full of traditional aromen. the red wine selection is excellent to combine with their meal times.
I went there for the first time yesterday, it wasn't busy, the waiter was very kind and nice and,the food was very good , delicious , and he was working as a one person service. Réservez une table maintenant
I attended a wedding reception there. The waiting/bar tendering staff was excellent. The food was good too. There were plenty of tables and chairs, and a nice dance floor.
I placed my order online and it was ready in the time they quoted. Service was good and food was delicious.
