My family and I were craving Mexican food and decided to check El Delfin out today. I got the steak taco dinner, my mother got the costillas en salsa de molcajete, and my father got a mojarra al ajo. Let me just get the good stuff out of the way first. I only gave this place 1 star because their limes were pretty juicy, and they had Diet Coke which we usually get at restaurants. That's it. That's the only good thing to say. The waitress was nice, I didn't get her name, I'll say that she was cordial though . The staff was very friendly, but unfortunately, the food was disappointing and excessively priced. Out of the five of us, only my son enjoyed his fried shrimp, even though it didn't look very appealing. The fajitas, rice, and beans were incredibly bland, and the quality of the meat was subpar. The worst part was the shrimp and oyster cocktail. I've ordered this dish in numerous restaurants throughout my life, and this was the first time I found it completely inedible. While the shrimp were acceptable, the oysters tasted stale. To make matters worse, instead of a traditional Mexican-style cocktail sauce, it was simply a Bloody Mary mix, which ruined the shrimp that could have potentially been...
First of all, I give this place 3 stars for ambience, 4 stars for the food, and 5 stars for the service! The food is fantastic, and the neighborhood location is great, but it always seems quiet on weekdays. Perhaps it's due to the bright O'Hare runway lights or the loud music. A few small adjustments could enhance the experience. We really enjoyed the food and hope they succeed! Just a heads up—they don’t serve wine. We loved the fish ceviche, and the whole red snapper was a beautiful presentation. It’s definitely an entree meant for sharing, and the takeaway box was a large aluminum baking dish!
This place is truly disappointing; Clique was far better, and that's saying something. They only serve seafood, which is understandable given the name reflects Mexican seafood, but typically such restaurants offer a couple of other options. However, that’s not the case here. Both our entrees were subpar and outrageously overpriced! The cocktails were equally disappointing—below average yet priced at around $15 each. On top of that, the service was terrible; it was slow and inattentive. The interior still resembles the tacky sports bar that Clique was. I will never return here.

12:10 pm, we two were the only ones in the place... That should have told us something... Place is set up more like a sports bar, but with an Expensive Dinner Restaurant type menu (primarily written in Hispanic)... Prices range from $10 Lunch thru $40 Dinners. ..Don't think they know what there trying to be... Bar vs. Restaurant ? Lunch Steak Burrito was just barely OK . Steak meat was grisly, over cooked Dry, like it had been cooked re-heated... Came with rice beans nice presentation... Bartender was very pleasant attentive..Sorry, but we will not be going back .....
What a hidden gem stoped by for some quick Mexican lunch and wow was I treated well. Amazing staff very attentive and friendly, outstanding, delicious, fresh food. I end up ordering chicken and steak tacos both excellent choices keep in mind this place is a seafood bar grill yet their taco meat so well seasoned and tender. Highly recommend it !!!! Will definitely come back to try their seafood options. Ps. They had Mexican music on so nice. I was also told they have dance classes during the week weekend DJ coming soon as well as karaoke.

I came in a little later than my party did so I was only able to try the drinks. Everyone in my party raved about the food. The drinks were good and our waitress was friendly. The atmosphere was amazing! We danced the night away with all the bandas they had playing.
