I used to take my parents to this restaurant whenever they came to visit, but I will not be doing so anymore. The service was terrible! The elderly waitress rushed us to order as soon as we sat down, and even suggested that we pay for a dish that we did not order. Instead of admitting her mistake in bringing us the wrong type of pupusa, she became aggressive and tried to blame us. When we asked for the bill so we could leave quickly, she only brought it after we had to ask another waitress for it. Rather than apologizing, she made rude comments about the other waitress removing the incorrect order from the bill to avoid us paying for it. We had never left a place so quickly before. I absolutely love this Salvadoran restaurant for its authentic, homemade taste and comforting atmosphere. The Pupusas taste just like my abuelita used to make them, and the grilled pork chops were incredibly tender and flavorful. The Tamal de elote was served with a creamy topping, and although it was larger than usual, the taste was just as delicious. While prices have slightly increased, the portions are still generous. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed all the food and will definitely be returning in the future.
This Salvadorian restaurant is my favorite for the homemade feeling and taste of food, the Pupusas taste like the one your abuelita makes, this time also ordered the grilled pork chops which were tender and I can tell were marinated for a long time, Tamal de elote is served with crema, I found this elote to be bigger than the usual they always served but the taste was the same, prices have been going up a little but portions are generous.All the food was delicious, will for sure come back.
I visited this restaurant for pupusas and they were delicious. We tried the cheese pupusa and another one with beans and cheese. We also ordered a carne asada meal which was also very tasty. The only downside was the maduros (fried plantains), as they were hard to eat. The only negative aspect of this place is the restaurant itself. It looks very old and has a strange hospital smell. This restaurant used to be great, but it seems that with new management, it has really gone downhill. They served my daughter a raw steak with blood still oozing out of it. All of us ended up getting sick after eating there. I would not recommend this place, as the staff never came back to refill our drinks and provided very poor service.
