Have eaten at Dempsey’s several times on our way to the lake. Love the pizza and service has usually been great. Tonight, July 17, 2024, our table server was great but the bartender did a poor job. We had a question on a particular beer and our server had to wait a long time before the bartender acknowledged our server and answered our question. Later, we ordered s second beer and we waited so long that we finished our meal and canceled the beer order. The bartender was polishing the bottles behind the bar, which apparently took precedent over serving customers. A local recommended this award winning pizza place. The beer selection was awesome. Most everyone ordered a calzone, one had pizza and I tried the chislic, a South Dakota tradition. The calzones were mostly dough, which was disappointing. One calzone was actually fine. The pizza had a super salty crust. But the real disappointment was the chislic, just a plate of beef tips and fries. None of the sauce or presentation you would expect when ordering this South Dakota traditional dish.

My mother and I stopped by Dempsey's while traveling from Rapid City for a quick meal. We were seated promptly and greeted warmly. As a Front of House Hospitality and Bar Manager myself, I was really impressed with the service provided by our waiter, Bryce S. He was exceptional—very attentive and offered fantastic recommendations. The food was excellent, and dining on the patio was a lovely choice. Overall, I would rate the service a perfect 10/10.

As a vegan who travels for work, I often find it challenging to find good dining options in San Diego. However, this restaurant stands out as one of the better places I’ve visited in the Twin Cities. I ordered the Todd Ingram and a few beers, and everything was delicious. Honestly, finding a vegan calzone like the Todd Ingram is something I've rarely encountered in the area. This place is fun with great food great customer service. We started coming here out of the blue and just loved the place. The angry cheese curds were amazing I wish they would make it an option again!!!! And the angry dragon pizza was the best pizza!

So. So. Sooo good, I got the pierogis and they were honestly the best thing I ate all weekend I was here in SD. Also amazing steak bites for the appetizers. I loved this place. Would love to come back next time I'm in town.

The food is great and the service was even better. The pepperoni pizza was delicious, and so was the salad. Our server was very nice and attentive, I will definitely be back!
