First off, 'what was he thinking; traveling with a large family of seven children on Christmas day? ' I thought we could avoid the crowds. There were no crowds. There were no people, actually. It was apocalyptic. No stores were open. No restaurants were open... except Denny 's. We showed up and asked about a table for nine. As expected the wait was about an hour. So we had a brilliant idea to check our route and call ahead to the next Denny 's about an hour down the road. 'Nine orders of cheese burgers, fries and drinks for pick-up in an hour. Went there this afternoon and my waitress was great, wish I knew her name but all I can say is she had it together. She was by herself, very busy and our food came out in a timely fashion, kudos to the chef it was great. Only thing I have to complain about is the other server that walked in late. My server was upset which I would be to with no communication of what's going on. When my server asked her to call next time this server went off talking about putting hands on her.. Very upsetting and felt bad that my server had to deal with that. Giving my server 5 stars

Shown at 3:00, there were only 1 server and 1 chef. They were very busy, lasted an hour to get our food, but she was as sweet as possible, the food was delicious and she even gave us a discount for our long wait. Would make this a normal 3 o'clock breakfast place.

The Lawrence KS Denny's was good. It was clean, the waitress was nice and helpful and the food was really good. We would go again
