I had been wanting to try this restaurant for a while and had high expectations, but I was a bit disappointed with how my visit turned out. We had to wait for our pre-booked table to be ready, and when we were seated, we were disappointed to see that the table was only decorated with a sad, wilted white rose which we asked to be removed. The walls were dusty, and the only bread option was a single slice of plain white French bread. The starters were small, with the dressed crab having more brown meat than white and no brown bread to accompany it, despite the high price of nearly £12. The mains, a skate wing and Lobster Thermidor, were okay but the portion of the latter was small for its £38...
From the moment you walk into the restaurant, your experience begins. The decor is fantastic and you are greeted by friendly and helpful staff. The most difficult part is deciding what to order from the amazing menu options. Luckily, Tez, our cheerful waitress, helped us make our decisions and recommended some delicious dishes. The food was beautifully presented and tasted incredible. We had a perfect evening with fantastic food, great atmosphere, and wonderful staff. We will definitely be returning to Dennys. Highly recommend!
My husband and I came for an evening out on Saturday, the restaurants tucked cozily away in the station and upon entering it’s absolutely gorgeous. I had the grilled lobster to start and my husband had the coquilles st jacques followed by us having the garlic king prawns and skate black butter capers for dinner. Our deserts were both homemade tiramisu, honestly the best I’ve ever had. Overall the food was the best fresh seafood I’ve had, the atmosphere was great and service was fab. Will most definitely be returning.

I went to Denny's for the first time on Saturday night and was pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere. Upon entering through the old waiting room door, I was greeted by an unexpected display of fishing memorabilia. The staff was very attentive, offering drinks and making me feel welcome as soon as I sat down. The food was outstanding - we ordered the Dover Sole and Skate, both of which came in generous portion sizes. I will definitely be returning soon.
Everything about this place is like stepping back in time and all in a good way! Food, staff, decor, music all top notch and all on the doorstep of Cislehurst station. Good portion sizes and highly recommend the garlic snails, seafood paella and the rack of lamb. What's not to like? Nothing! We'll be back!
Absolutely first class restaurant. Service, menu choice and quality. Could visit each day of the week and have different starters and mains and I am certain each would be triumphant. Blown away and will definitely be back for more.
We visited this very quirky, lovely small restaurant 3 days ago. The food was excellent as was the service. The scallops wrapped in bacon were delicious as was my skate. Beautiful wines too. Will definitely be returning very soon.
