This place has all the makings of a quintessential locals spot, but the biggest obstacle preventing that is they have bratty children working there who find scooping ice cream to be the worlds most difficult job. The dweeb who was struggling to manage the few customers in line for ice cream was so flustered that he couldn’t muster up the slightest bit of customer service or professionalism when asked a simple question. He then went and complained about how hard his life was to the other toddlers working there, right in front of other customers. When I called him out for acting like a baby, he ran off pouting in the corner while his sad excuse for a manager gave every excuse under the sun jus...
I ate here on a road trip. The Lobster Roll ordered. Voted best Lobster Roll for 2016, 2017 and 2018. Mine wasn't disappointed! Family business with rich history in the area, people for 115 years. In addition to the Lobster Rolls Derosier's also serves Italian subs, pizza and ice cream! Some of my friends got the pizza and said it was delicious! Derosier's is a small place with a limited number of stands to sit and eat. Most people came at lunch and ordered their food to go. Your business is located on the street so that the parking lot is somewhat limited. Service was fast and everyone was so friendly. I'd definitely go back to see if I was in the area.
I loved this place. I was there on 07/19/2021. Great sandwich shop and a quick bite if you are into getting yourself around instead of wasting time seating and sightseeing. My son and I had the Farmers Jones Revenge and it was pure heaven (My son literally having a moment of pure joy in the picture) , My daughter and My wife had the Chicken Fajita and they loved it too.
A Maine Treasure on The Freeport Strip. A generational Sub, Pizza, and Salad shop that is in one word, outstanding! Love the family restaurants that keep carrying the torch, and the history like Derosiers. We had half a sub, a pizza, and the better half had soup. They were all excellent. Limited seating with some outdoor seating. My go to from now on when in Freeport. Réservez une table maintenant
I ordered a large ham toastey. Simply wanted no tomatoes on half if the sandwich. They said they can't do that and they have to charge me for two sandwiches. Being a business owner that's just bad business practice. Your using less ingredients but yet want to take advantage of a loyal customer of over 30 years just to charge me more.
I still have to be disappointed by this place! You have cheap prices and the fresh cookies are delicious. The staff was always very friendly and friendly. I would like to see some more appetizer options, but this is my only feedback. Thank you for a wonderful addition to downtown Freeport!
I gave 4 stars because it took a long time to get our food. I got lobster roll which was probably the most expensive thing on the menu. I personally was not impressed with it. Not much flavor or maybe I just had different expectations. The pizza’s crust was really good and the icecream.
