I was working on Sunday at Station Road when I discovered this local gem. I was so excited that I could hardly wait until 4 o'clock to go there. I even had a chat with my boss, Phil (a great guy), and we agreed that I could take my break shortly after 4:30, so I headed straight to the chippy.
When I arrived, the lovely ladies greeted me, and I was amazed to see the largest fish and chips I've ever encountered (I like to call it "the shark"!). It was so big that I asked the ladies if they could cut it in half. Thank you so much for the best fish and chips I’ve ever had. You truly are the best! xx
If I could give zero stars, I absolutely would. This is the worst chip shop in England. The batter was greasy, and the fish and chips were dry and unappetizing. The staff looked like they could use a good wash and seemed to struggle with basic counting. They should focus more on hygiene in the shop instead of flirting with customers. I definitely won't be returning and would advise others to stay away at all costs unless you want to risk getting sick. They can't even properly prepare a sausage. Food Rating: 1/5.
The staff is always incredibly friendly, and everything is spotless and shiny. The food is fresh and delicious. The mini meals are a fantastic deal at just £2.99. They even gave a free sample to a child, showing their commitment to being kid-friendly. You won't find better service anywhere else. I ordered takeout for lunch, and the price per person was between £1-10. Overall, I would rate the food a perfect 5, service a 5, and atmosphere a 5.
Chips are pretty ropey. The cod is questionable because I can’t say it is cod. No taste to it. The servers are a bit loud and rude. The prices for their deals are very good just a shame on the quality. Service: Take out Meal type: Lunch Price per person: £1–10

The best Fish and Chip shop in the county. We moved to Desborough from Cottingham and the Desborough Fish Bar is now only round the corner to our home. This is fabulous and we look forward to our pensioner portion of perfectly cooked fish and chips.
