Due to prior engagements, I ate elsewhere the night before, but couldn't stop thinking of the smells of pizza coming from Di Gusto's restaurant I could smell the great aromas of pizza being cooked in the wood burning oven....mmmmmm! I was getting hungry for some pizza. Sooooo, the next day after wrapping up my meetings, I headed directly to Di Gusto's and I was not disappointed! Very nice, rustic yet modern feel. I sat up at the counter where the pizza was being made - felt like I was in little Italy. Ordered a great salad to start and of course pizza as my main. YUMMMMM! .and then topped it off with some raspberry Gelato (kinda wished they had Lemon Gelato) but nonetheless, it was perfect....
In Sudbury by necessity. Wanted to stay on a diet. Wine, pasta, pizza, dessert out of bounds. Had the arugula salad and chicken with capers, wine and lemon. Fantastic! Left the restaurant feeling treated to delicious cooking, friendly service and true hospitality. Didn't even miss the dessert because the meal was so good. Will be back when I can have more choices and some wine, but really appreciated the flavorful meal when I was ready to feel deprived.
The food here was very good. We ordered many different dishes and shared. The wood oven pizza was fabulous, the spinach dip was one of the best we've ever had. The tomato sauce they use is very good. We also had a pesto pasta dish, which was a special, it was very good, but was a little over cooked. We would definitely eat here again if we ever find ourselves in Sudbury.
It's not authentic Italian or maybe it is but it misses the mark. Fun atmosphere. Not a place for a date on the weekend unless you like a lot of noise. Reasonably priced and food is not bad. Similar to east side marios in taste but locally owned and not prepackaged food. Kids would be great there as it's loud and you wouldn't be worried about them disturbing others.
