Di Palma's - Réservation de table

Had lunch here on a Sunday for our cousins catch up. Booking of 9 and surprisingly given a generous table with a lots of space and not squashed in like you would normally expect in some restaurants. We started by sharing some pizza's which were delicious, could not fault. Our mains we good all except the chicken dish served with polenta. Chicken was little dry and the polenta was not as one would expect, it was bland and greyish in colour and not presented all all nicely. My daughter and sister who ordered these dishes were struggling to eat it so I sent my daughter's meal back and had her order something different. I had flown from Sydney that afternoon and was meeting my family for dinner. My daughter had booked the restaurant and I arrived early at 5pm. Although they didn't open until 5.30pm, the chef saw me at the door and let me in out of the Melbourne cold. This was where our wonderful dining experience started. I was able to have a wine and snack before the family started to arrive at 5.30pm. With 4 adults and 7 children aged from 12 to 1, nothing was too much trouble. The staff were all friendly, attentive and professional, especially Melinda who mainly looked after us and was so patient with the children who got busy with their colouring sheets and crayons provided by the restaurant. We recently visited Di Palma's for the first time for a special birthday celebration with friends and had a very enjoyable experience. The staff were attentive, polite and friendly and the food service was well paced. We had the herb focaccia, spinach and egg ravioli, chicken rigatoni, duck risotto and the house made gelato and ice cream all of which were delicious. We also appreciated that this restaurant is licensed but also offers diners the choice of BYO wine. We look forward to returning to Di Palmas again.

Popped for a casual meal after the cinema. My crispy calamari (entree) and baramanndi fillet (main) were excellent. My wife chose 2 entree's. Fritto misto, with prawns, white bait calamari etc. , and the chicken livers. Both were very good. What topped the experience was the desert. The cold soufflé was not what we expected. The young, well spoken, and polite waitress asked if we liked it. No, we said. She promptly took it away and asked us to choose something else. Top marks!! Réservez une table maintenant

We dined here on a Sunday night. It was full! A testament to how good this restaurant is. A variety of diners, from couples to families with young children, to friends.Staff were very attentive, surroundings excellent, and the food was hot, tasty and deliciousEasy to park in High st, which helps when dining out.Another bonus is that you can BYO. We will return.Well done to all.

We were there for a Sunday lunch with friends. Antipasto was ordered to share. Some in the group had a Minestrone as a starter being a cold day. Main Courses of Seafood Risotto, Seafood Stew, Red Emporer Fish and vegies and Steak and vegies. We selected red and white wine to accompany the lunch. The service was friendly and prompt.

A large group of us come to celebrate together, we had the private room. The food was excellent and the service was also great. If you love Italian food you need to come here. You won't be disappointed. Everything we ordered was cooked thoughtfully and was fresh. Overall a very pleasing experience.We will be back again.

A regular haunt - not to be underestimated. Good food , BYO and a good well balanced wine list makes this a good choice for a family night out. Something for all tastes and the default pizza option is pretty good. Service always friendly and helpful. Réservez une table maintenant

Service a 3/5 - very busy for a Wednesday night. Also a bit noisy so hard to hear across the table. Food 5/5 - very good and everyone loved their meals. Food also came out quickly. Not cheap but generous plates so there was value.

All food is excellent and there are chefs specials. Fantastic mid range restaurant. Very consistent Italian restaurant
